Good to know
- Switzerland uses Type C & J sockets — Switzerland's own three-pin design — at 230V / 50Hz.
- Most phone, laptop and camera chargers are dual-voltage (100–240V) — you usually only need a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. A flat two-pin Type C (Europlug) will slot straight into a Swiss socket, but a bulky three-pin Type F "Schuko" plug will not — check the label and shape of your charger.
- Emergency services: dial 112.
